Few Apple players support Stalker/Ministra portals. DringTV does on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac: portal address, registered MAC address, programme guide and catch-up when the portal allows it.

DringTV plays Stalker/Ministra portals on every Apple device. You need the portal address and the MAC address registered by your server; add them in Settings → Playlists → Add a playlist → Stalker, or by QR code from the iPhone for the Apple TV.

What you need

A Stalker portal does not work with an M3U link or Xtream credentials: your server gives you a portal address (often ending in /c/) and the MAC address registered for your access. DringTV presents itself to the portal with that MAC address.

Add the portal

  1. Open DringTV, then Settings → Playlists → Add a playlist → Stalker.
  2. Enter the portal address exactly as you received it.
  3. Enter the registered MAC address, then the username and password if your server requires them.
  4. On Apple TV, prefer QR-code setup: everything is typed on the iPhone.

If the connection fails

  • Check that the MAC address is exactly the one registered on the portal.
  • Check the portal address: the trailing /c/ is often missing.
  • Turn off the original device if it uses the same MAC address.
  • If in doubt, your server can confirm these details: DringTV provides no portal or MAC address.

Common questions

Can I use the same MAC on two devices?

Usually not: most portals accept only one active session per MAC address. Check with your server.

Does catch-up work?

Yes, on channels for which the portal declares an archive.

Does DringTV provide a portal?

No. DringTV is a player; it provides no portal, MAC address or content.
